A head full of dreams: Manila
19 weeks ago, Coldplay released that quick GIF of a sneak peek of their first few cities for the 2017 leg of their #AHFODTour. I saw the silhouette of the Philippines among other Asian countries and immediately knew I had to get tickets. There are very few artists I would spend good money to buy concert tickets for. But seeing Coldplay live? People who’ve been lucky enough to see them say it's priceless!
So my friend Vince, who apparently lives in Iloilo suddenly beeped me up right away knowing I would die to see Coldplay live! It was kinda cracked up for us to decide on what ticket we should buy since we don't have a lot of money to go for the VIP Section. Then he suddenly bought General Admission tickets for 2! (This is it pancit!)
A few weeks from the day we bought the tickets, Vince decided not to go since it will be his finals week in College. I've been thinking to whom I would gladly sell his ticket. A sudden thought of Jesette, who was a die hard fan too! Beeped her up then gladly she bought the ticket without hesitation! (Phew! No more problem!)
Coldplay Concert Day! April 04, 2017 - Tuesday! So I filled for a half day leave at work since we all knew that traffic would be intense especially travelling from Makati to Pasay. Left the office around 1pm and arrived the venue at 2pm. Started lining up 2:30 pm until gates we're finally open!
The security were kinda strict when it comes to concert rules, checked every pocket of your bag and they don't allow food & beverages inside the venue since there are food stalls inside in which I expect sells at a higher price. While lining up, met 2 familiar girls who was from Iloilo either. When we entered the venue, the area for the General Admission was way too far! Like I could see little ants from a far! But I didn't mind that anymore. I just wanna hear them live. A part of it opens up to the sky so we were able to watch the sun set during the opening act Jess Kent’s set.
In the middle of Jess Kent's set, I decided to buy water for me and Jesette. Went out my place to buy and she said she'll just stay there. When I got back, I can't see her anymore. The signal's a bit fucked up on the area so I have no choice but to find a great spot for myself, yes alone. While looking for great spot for me, since I am too small to squeeze myself into tall and random people, a lady approached me and gave me a VIP. Well, that was something I didn't hesitate to grab! I didn't mind my other friends anymore since I wasn't able to contact them.
So I'am now at the VIP area. Very over whelming place. Just in time for Coldplay to start. I was standing alone with random rich people who can afford to buy VIP Tickets. When they started off their first songs, I cannot handle my tears anymore. It feels surreal hearing them live! I can't believe I was lucky enough to got myself a free VIP Ticket.
These pictures cannot express on how grateful I am to that random lady. THANK YOU! This was the greatest experience of my 2017 so far!!
